FAQ
What time do your sessions take place?
Most my newborn sessions are done in the comfort of your own home, but there is no reason why you cannot get wrapped up with your little one if you would like an outdoor session, if you do then I have some locations that are quiet and have accessible parking.
Family and maternity sessions can be done at home, or outdoors.
For newborn sessions, I usually suggest around 10am, this is because babies tend to be a little overstimulated by the afternoon (not always, but often).
How many photos do we get?
This depends on which gallery package you opt for, you can of course upgrade to the full 50 anytime after your session. For weddings, depending on what is going on during your day you can expect around 500 + images for a full day package.
How do we get our photos?
I use an online platform, which will be used to deliver your gallery and only you will have access to this, along with family or friends you choose to share the link with.
Whats your turn around time?
my editing time can vary during seasons and demand, this will always be listed within your contract. For newborn or motherhood sessions, I am to have these back within 4 - 6 weeks and weddings within 10 weeks during peak season. Your gallery time will be on your client contract and I will always inform you and keep you updated on the day of your session.
How far out do you book?
While I don’t place limits on how far into the future you can book, my diary can fill up quickly, so I always recommend reaching out as soon as you have your date set.
Whether you're planning for next summer or even further ahead, I’m here whenever you're ready.
What should we wear?
This is probably the question I get asked most and also one of the most important questions!
Upon booking, you will receive a style guide from me containing all the information you need.
Of course, you can opt to choose something else for your session as they are your photographs but I want you to get the best possible photographs so I advise on colour schemes and outfits based on my editing style. Think soft creams, browns, texture and outfits that create movement. They are so much more romantic and make all the difference to your photographs.
When do I need to have a newborn session?
The recommended time for newborn sessions is usually within the first two weeks, when your little one is still curled up in that sweet, sleepy ‘newborn scrunch.’ But truly, what matters most to me is that you feel well, calm, and ready. Every baby is different, and every journey into motherhood is unique—beautiful moments can be captured at any stage. My newborn sessions typically last around 90 minutes, giving us plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, and any little pauses along the way. I want your experience to feel gentle, unhurried, and full of care.
What camera do you use?
I am a Fuji gal through and through! I shoot with two XT-5 cameras, both have dual memory card slots to ensure I shoot on 2 cards at a time for back up. I use prime lenses and have a 16mm, 23mm and 75mm.
